The flavours are enjoyable, although they do tend to be on the sweeter side. For those who prefer a more pronounced kick, the tomato chutney might feel a little mild in terms of zest. The jars, while undeniably charming, are quite small, providing just a couple of generous servings per jar. A bit more quantity would certainly be appreciated. Even so, they work very well as a gift. I included one in my eldest’s moving-out hamper and saved the gardener’s choice chutney to accompany a weekend BBQ. Enjoyable and fun, though perhaps not an essential addition to the pantry.
