They are great all round scissors. The first pair have been put through their paces for several years, and have been constantly used for craft type stuff, in my studio. My husband grabbed them for a gardening job, and they've been so useful doing all sorts of garden jobs, even topiary, that I've had to relinquish them to that garden role, and so have a new pair for the studio. They seem to cope with everything. They're OK for cutting material, but really not designed for that, I think that's the only thing I don't use them for - although felt etc would be fine.
