Works great and was shipped fast
The WILLHI WH1436H Works great and was available here for about the lowest price I have found. Good value. I built a humidifier myself with a large plastic tub and a House of Hydro 5 head Head Water Fogger and tested it for 3 days. After it seemed to be working great I ordered this WILLHI WH1436H control unit to automate it. The WILLHI WH1436H control unit sensor is sensitive, breath on it and the humidity jumps up quickly and then settles back to where it was quickly. Setup was super easy. Durability... I have only had it for a week or so, under the circumstances I can't comment on durability yet. I have a 3000 sq ft 2 story house and it now stays at 50% down stairs where I keep the humidifier and 48% humidity upstairs. Before is was in the low to mid 30% range. UPDATE - it has now been 5 and a half months and this unit is still working perfect. Based on that and the other details above, I can recommend it. ~

Great Gasget for Mushroom Tent
I use this device to regulate humidity in my mushroom grow tent. It has made my humidity control easy and consistent. I liked it so well that I bought a second unit for my second tent. Highly recommended.

Good for indoor mushroom growing
I use this for growing gourmet mushrooms indoors. Like most products that read humidity, it falls victim to getting wet and giving incorrect readings. If you can position the sensor in a way that keeps drops of water off of it, it would help. I try to keep my greenhouse at 95% relative humidity and this seems to be accurate when compared to other humidity sensors i use. There are a lot out there, but I got this for the programming features. It's nice that you can set high and low limits. Controls are a bit weird but the manual helps to figure it out easy enough.

The instructions suck
How to program the WILLHI WH1436 Humidity Controller. I think the WILLHI instructions were written by someone tripping on mushrooms. 1. To set parameter, Press and HOLD SET for 3 seconds to enter setup mode 2. The screen should now display ON. 3. Press the Up or Down button until the parameter you wish to reset is displayed. 4. Now that the parameter (ON, OFF, P7, CA, AH, AL) is displayed, press SET again to select it. 5. Then press up or down till you find the value you wish to set the selected parameter. 6. To lock it in, press SET one more time. 7. Repeat for each parameter by going back to Step 3 8. To exit programming mode, press POWER If you hesitate more than about 8 seconds the unit will exit setup mode ON = Humidity to turn ON at OFF = Humidity to turn OFF at P7 = Defines the time interval in minutes, between off and on again cycles CA = Calibration โ If measured humidity is 3% higher than the real humidity, set CA=-3. AH = It will beep once humidity exceeds AH (High Humidity). Press any key to stop alarm AL = It will beep once humidity is below AL (Low Humidity). Press any key to stop alarm. If HUMIDF is flashing, that means the switched outlet is on. To reverse the mode to DEHUMIDIFY, set the ON value higher than the OFF value. RH% means Relative Humidity I hope this helps.

occasionally ignores shut-off value
I bought this because of a problem I was consistently having with the inkbird humidity controller, and within a few weeks of use this one is doing the same thing-- except it's doing it even more often than the inkbird controller did. Normally, it turns on the humidity at 66% and turns it off at 71%, which is what I have it programmed to do. Every once in a while, though, it decides to just ignore the 71% value and keep running forever. My lizard enclosure is at 95% humidity this morning and soaking wet. I am not happy about that! Will be returning and trying yet another model. Considering two units from different companies have the same issue, I have to imagine they're using the same internal hardware or something. I am returning this and will try the one made by REPTI ZOO instead. (update: the REPTI ZOO combined thermostat/humidistat is still going strong after 18 months.) I will say that other than this huge problem, it is nicely made and easy to use.

Accurate and it does the job
I used this to control my dehumidifier in the basement. I used to use a timer to turn it on or off to prevent freezing, but it was either not on long enough, or the unit froze because it was on too long. It was too much guess work. This controller comes on or off like it should. I find it unusual that all the built-in controllers that all the dehumidifiers I've had never worked like they should.

Not for high humidity applications due to constant alarm
I am using this in an application in which humidity should be 95%+ and a fogger is connected to this device. Unfortunately, there is no way to turn off the high humidity alarm, and this device regularly reads 100% humidity. There are two humidity level alarms: AH and AL (presumably "Alarm High" and "Alarm Low") which cannot be disabled; they can only be set to ranges between 0 and 100. Since it is best to be at or above 95% for my application, this device would near constantly sound its alarm. The fogger being turned on at 94% would almost certainly result in enough fog added that the level will again reach 100% even after the fogger is turned off at 95%. There is no resolution to this problem. I have had to settle for keeping the settings lower, around 90%, to keep the level from going up above. Instead, my range is regularly 88-100 (the alarm still sounds and things must be adjusted regularly based on fresh air exchange and external humidity to try to prevent that). It's better than nothing, but I will look for another device to do this job or try to de-solder whatever speaker is connected inside the device. To the company which manufacturers this, if you care to address this issue, it seems simplest to make the AH setting have a range which goes to 101. Then it can be turned off. That would likely be less work than adding another option that controls the on/off for the AH setting.

Keep going even it pass the humidity level
Worked like a charm for the two months, and now as I'm a few days passed the warranty (bought 3 November 2020 and the support stop 5 February 2021), the controller won't stop even pass the humidity level. I have to shut it down for a few hours before it work okay and then the problem show up again. I use it to control the humidity in my house via a system I built, it's a huge problem as when I come back to home or wake up the morning in a fog apartment like if I was in a bar in the '90!
