The grinding is mixed; the fine rotation with narrow blades hitting the nuts first will still produce large pieces and coarse rotation with wider blades will still produce dust-like pieces. There is no perfect solution for this as food processors and electric grinders produce the same results. This is a bit better than an electric grinder as it is easy to see/alter the movement to check the size but the intake container is small. This is great for small amount like toppings.
