They don't have a really strong chocolate taste, I actually like that but it might not be for everyone. The one issue I find with them is that they are really chewy. A lot firmer to the bite than a lot of flapjack bars I've had in the past. That's only a minor issue though and I'll continue to buy them from desertcart as it's really handy to have them to hand and having them delivered is so convenient. Also worth pointing out is that they are sweetened with stevia. I'm not sure how I feel about that to be honest. I appreciate that it means the sugar has been replaced but you can definitely notice it. I'm not saying it's a bad thing but I'm new to stevia and I wasn't keen at first but I think I'm getting used to it as it doesn't bother me as much now. They are dense enough to fill me up for ages and taste sweet enough to be very satisfying. The high levels of protein and fibre balance well against the low levels of sugar and fat to make them a definite to buy again. As you would expect with a flapjack there is a distinctive oaty texture but I also love the occasional chocolate chip in these bars.
