It may be possible but I would highly highly highly recommend you find a professional to do so. You would have to do additional wiring as well. **Q: If i wanted to run this hard-wired on a dc circuit, what voltage is it rated for? about how much energy is consumed when the circuit is closed?** A: The power transformer is 60VAC 3W, the manual says 60V <5w+-. The Auto Film is 40V. If you are putting this on a 12VDC circuit you will need a bucking converter to take it to 60V. All of the documents I am seeing say AC current. Perhaps using an arduino with PWM would work. My plan is to use this as a curtain with a battery that is solar powered.
