Great sealer
I used the 511 Pourous plus on some travertine tile that I layed on my from porch and front steps. I applied two coats. It works extremely well. It actually gives you a nice light sheen on the tile and it prevents water penetration. The only thing is that when it rains, I do have to blow the water off with my electric blower because the water will sit on the tile until the sum hits it for a while. I guess you can let it dry by itself, but I like to blow the water off since its a quick and easy process.

Repels water somewhat.
My wife forced me to install unfilled travertine in our tub/shower walls and after grouting the tile and holes I sealed with this stuff. 2 coats. Grout and tiles darken but when the sealant dries/cures the grout color returns. Maybe overall a bit darker than before sealing but looks better, without looking rich like some sealers that "enhance" the tile and grout for that always wet look.I'll have to seal every 6 months or sooner but that's because of the tile choice we made. Good product.

Perfect for slates but doesn't work for encaustic cement tiles
We needed a sealer that would work for slates we'd chosen for the floor and for some encaustic cement tiles we'd bought from cementtileshop.com. They recommended Porous Plus on their website so we optimistically ordered a lot of it.On the plus side, I was thrilled with how it did the slates. It leaves a very natural look to the stone, is really easy to apply and resisted olive oil left on a sealed slate for a whole night. This is a basic requirement for stone in a kitchen.Encaustic cement tiles are very porous and the sealer just kept soaking in with each application. We spoke with a rep from Miracle Sealants who said we might need 4 coats. We tried that and even after giving it plenty of time to cure, oil would still stain the tiles even after a few minutes. We tried the regular miracle 511 and that didn't work for us either. The problem with these sealers is that the cost of experimenting is very high! We were lucky though in that we found "Buddy Rhodes Natural Look Penetrating Sealer" which is a water-based sealer that did a much better job with just 2 coats. Following that up with "Buddy Rhodes Beeswax" and finally our encaustic tile resisted olive oil for a whole night.

Easy but stinky.
Very easy to use. Seemed to adhere to my limestone back splash. As for durability so far itโs good. Splashes from the sink wipe off without a problem. I have to say if you are sensitive to smells this really has a strong odor when putting it on.

Amazing
This stuff was a lifesaver to help seal my shower tile. I was able to eliminate stains that had been driving me crazy and this is exactly what I needed to seal it and prevent it from coming back through.

Sealer unexpectedly and dramatically changed the color of my travertine tile
I purchased a travertine tile to coordinate with my wallpaper and tub. The sample on display was unsealed. After it was installed and sealed with with two coats Miracle 511 Porous Plus Sealer (from Amazon) the color radically changed. It was dull but mostly shades of brown and little gray.To try to make it work in the room I applied Miracle High-Gloss Finish Sealer. I expected the gloss to mostly reflect the surrounding colors hopefully mute some of the tile color. The gloss sealer went a long way toward making the tile work in the room. The finished results, however, don't look very natural. It took four coats of the gloss sealer to get a noticeable shine and most of the QT. bottle to do 35 SF.I underestimated the color change in my tile. I wish I had tested one tile before it was installed. The photo shows one square of unsealed tile on top of the finished floor.

would no longer bead up water anymore and felt a bit gritty for want of a better term. I cleaned the lime around the sink ...
Wow. I didn't really expect the results I got with this product, but the 511 really delivered. Three years ago, when I got my granite counter tops, which are a lighter and very porous granite, I was told they were permanently sealed and would require no maintenance on my part. Well, not so much. I have hard water and around the sink area the pores had held water and created a coating of lime that had significantly dulled the granite. This area particularly, and the rest of the counter areas generally, would no longer bead up water anymore and felt a bit gritty for want of a better term. I cleaned the lime around the sink with 15 minute vinegar - oxyclean soaks followed by nailbrush scrubs and water rinses. Probably 6 or 7 repetitions of this and the lime was gone and the surface shine returned. After this I cleaned everything with a 50/50 water - rubbing alcohol wipe and then applied 511 simply following the directions. I applied 4 times to the sink area and 2 times everywhere else. The difference is amazing. The granite surfaces feel so much smoother and the shine has returned. Now water beads up nicely again just as I remembered when the counters were new. While, judging from the fact that overnight wine spills never stained the counters, the permanent seal must have held, this product really returned the smooth feel and shine to the granite. The product's smell really wasn't that bad - the vinegar may have been more obnoxious - and a little really went a long way. So easy to apply, I wonder why anyone would pay someone to seal their granite. I'll for sure be using the rest of the bottle probably 6 months from now and won't hesitate to buy more when it runs out.

Awesome
I have natural stone tiles on my kitchen wall, behind the stove as a backslash as well. The contractor was just not professional enough to know that this was supposed to be treated with sealant to prevent the oil and other stains being sucked up by the stone what ended up on the wall while cooking. I have not spilled anything directly on it but it is normal when food is boiling on the stove to have humidity and stuff evaporate...A have suffered removing the residue. Didn't dare to cook again and ruin the wall again. After I have treated the tiles with this product nothing sticks in/on the tiles any more. I can truly recommend. Would do the job with paint and kitchen counter as well. However it made the color slightly darker, which I do not mind. Its nice and even.
