It has a wide rectangular opening so I can dump stuff straight off the chopping board; it has a lever that allows the lid to stay open if there are several things to throw out; the bin looks good and is rectangular so no bumps and round bits to bang against the wall. The best part is the lid - it opens within the width of the bin opening so it doesn't go back and hit the wall, and it closes slowly on its own and completely silently - amazing. AND there is a 10 year guarantee so it's a no-brainer.
