Review: Excellent value for money - I bought these to replace the traditional immersion heater switches on the wall. Why? I wanted to guarantee hot water when necessary, without the hassle of having to remember whether the water heaters had been on and for how long. They fitted as a straight-forward replacement, out of the box, without any glitches and have saved us a great deal of headaches. Even though the text on the screen is small, I am glad I bought this timer and would highly recommend this product to others considering a similar replacement. There is a rechargeable battery included so the timer is not prone to power cuts and one can program up to 6 operations daily. The entire unit is very easy to program and override manually.

The units are good quality and give you up to 6 on/off times per day which is more than the other digital timers I looked at like the Siemens RWB27 which only has 3 on/off times per day. The units are easy to wire and have an internal backup battery for your settings. A larger display would be nice as the LCD display is very small but once you have set it, there is no need to play with it again.

**Q: hi guys can I use this to control my immersion tank from mains?**
A: It should work providing the power rating of your immersion heater is within the limits of the timer switch.

**Q: Would anyone be kind enough to let me have a copy of the instructions for the LG-DIHT?**
A: Sorry - mine didn't come with any. I worked out how to set it from other Amazon reviewers' comments. I wired it in the same way as the one it replaced.

**Q: Is this suitable for heating water tanks?**
A: The contact in this device is rated at 16 amps which will allow a maximum of 4kw, but probably shouldn't be loaded to more than 3kw. If in doubt consult a qualified electrician. I use my device for a lower rated panel heater.

**Q: My radiator is controlled by a fused switch; is this unit fused, can I use it as a straight replacement?**
A: No this is only a timer unit so it is an addition that sits between the two.  Also it cannot be fitted in a bathroom.  It is quite a large bulky timer and I have actually chosen a horseman boost stle button for my other towel rail which is much easier to use

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A nice timer

This timer is in spite of other comments not really that hard to see the screen even though it is a bit small. The programming is simple enough. I found the wiring up easy to understand. The only real problem I had hence the loss of a star was that this was to replace a simple on/off immersion heater switch where the wire to the tank came from a hole in the front of the switch. This has no such hole so a hole had to be drilled through the surrounding plaster and the metal box the unit screws too which was a bit of a job to do. With this issue resolved it would get 5 stars in my book. EXTRA A couple of years down the line the LCD screen is failing so I guess a new switch will be needed soon which is a shame as it has worked ok up till now Edward Walker
