I'm using it for a pour over coffee maker, and it will time out in the middle of the two-minute process of pouring water over the grounds. The whole point of the scale is to get the perfect 25 grams of grounds to 400 grams of water ratio, and when the scale times out in the middle, it's pretty worthless. I would not buy again. **Q: Does this weigh accurately in grams? Looking for a scale that is accurate for baking so mostly for flour, water and salt measurements.** A: It doesn’t weigh fractional grams. Put a penny on it and it registered 2 grams. A penny weighs 2.5 grams. So I put two pennies on it and it registered as 5 grams which is correct. Oh well, it’s accurate enough for my kitchen needs. **Q: How do you keep the weight in the screen even if you have to remove the item from the scale in order to see the weight?** A: According to the description of the tare function, if you place your item on the scale and press the tare button. The display will read 0. Now remove the item. The display will read a negative number equal in magnitude to the item you removed. e.g If the item weighs 500g, then after using the the tare function and removing the item, it will read -500 grams. I don't own this (yet), so can't verify, but according to their description, this should work. If you also need to tare a container that blocks view of the display, then you'll have to first weight the container this way, then weigh it with the contents, and subtract the weight of the container in your head, or on paper. I don't own the device (yet), so have not actually tried this. **Q: Can the time out feature be turned off?** A: Two NO's and one YES!
