Stamping mechanism is smooth and doesn't jam. As long as you press with consistent pressure & technique on a firm flat surface, the resulting stamp is just about perfect.I was pleased that my instructions regarding the stamp were followed absolutely 100% to the letter. It had the correct font, correct letter size, correct spaces, and correct justification. I did send them a Word file and screen grab of what I had created in the wordprocessor, hopefully making it easy. You should do the same.My only suggestion for improvement would be - if the stamp had a little loop with which to attach a lanyard. I bought a small pack of 4x8mm eyelets, drilled a small hole with a hypodermic needle, and attached a retractable lanyard.
