We're using these in place of canning sometimes, and for foods that cannot be canned. These pint size portions are perfect for eating the right amount of food. The lids fit snug, and I don't think there is a chance of liquids from our soups spilling out of the containers. I know some people were complaining about the smell of the silicone, but we wash ours in bleach water. So far, I cannot smell anything anymore. We like this product so much we purchase them again. Now, we have 8 silicone freezer trays.
