I only have 1" of space between my panel and enclosure cover. Thanks!** A: The switch that we installed on our furnace sticks out 1" from the panel - that is the response I received from the furnace manager, hope it helps. **Q: I want to mount this switch on 1/4" mdf, is there a trick to mounting it? the screws are angled in from the bottom so i'm not sure how it works...** A: The round chrome part of the assembly twist off the housing allowing the stem of the housing to go thru the hole. Then you twist the chrome part back onto the housing, then using the screws to apply tension to hold it against the back of the mounting surface. Be sure the switches will accept the thickness of the 1/4" mdf board. If I'm not mistaken it is 1/8" max. You may have to reduce the thickness of the mdf in the mounting area. **Q: Does this switch come with a gasket** A: Yes, it sits just under the silver ring. Its a nice, solidly made switch. **Q: Does this switch have a spring return to the off position?** A: It spring locks to the on or off position after center break over.
