It's also less costly that some other options. I have a 6-yr-old recliner that isn't that comfortable anymore, and I spend too much time sitting in it. I'd been using couch decorator pillows for added bottom and lumbar support, but in a situation when I was having on-going medium-level lower back pain, I decided to do look for something specifically designed for lumbar support. This pillow does the job! When using it I felt no pain, and I imagine it was instrumental in reducing the pain so I rarely feel it when walking as I used to. I also intend to use it on 1/2-hr plus drives in my car that has a similarly uncomfortable seat, but forgot to take it with me recently. I may have to buy a 2nd one to avoid that problem, but if it works as well in the car, it'll be worth it! This or a similarly shaped pillow showed using it as a side-sleeper, but it wasn't comfortable for me in that application. I did give it only a 4 for comfort only because I do have to tug it up or down every once in awhile while sitting.
