Just make sure your fabric is carefully cut to size and shape because there is no room for errors. You unfortunately will have to buy a much longer chain and fit it to the roller mechanism - fiddly and awkward to do. Take your length of blind and double it ie 412 cm. The other problem will be getting 206 cm of material onto the blind so you will have to consider placing the ends not only lower down the French doors but also further in to the house to allow for the build up of material on the blind so when fully down you could very well have a large space above the blind mechanism. Hope this answers your question. PS the sticky tape supplied is not very good as it has a tendency to unstick if it gets warm. I used a glue gun in the end and the blind to date has not come apart thankfully **Q: Can the tubing be cut?** A: Yes you can cut the tube to fit, you will need a metal blade hack saw **Q: Do you need to use a certain type of fabric or do you use fabric stiffener?** A: Fabric has to be fine. Thick fabric will not work. **Q: Do you need to hem the sides of the fabric? If it’s a mid-weight cotton canvas /linen? Or just use fabric stiffener to seal?** A: I could only use fine cotton it doesn’t take a thick fabric.
