Haven't read these stories yet and upon finally reading them ...

I'm on a mission: To collect every Danger Girl book that's been released so far. On my journey, I've come across this collection of stories and though "excellent ... many of the tales I'm looking for in 1 collection". Upon reading all the stories, I found myself wishing that J. Scott Campbell had a say in the art. Most of the issues has strange art that didn't even try to fit the styles that we first fell in love with. It was too ... different. And in that difference, a lot of the sex appeal of the characters disappears; a core aspect of this title. I find that only the final tale gave me a fraction of that feeling I got from the first (and most recent; Revolver) story arc.As for the writing, they seemed to be moving more and more into the far fetched and strange. I guess, just like James Bond once did, the Danger Girls had to encounter villains with bizarre traits eventually. But for there to be a man with a Slot Machine chest and arm turned into a club (to look like the slot machine lever), I really have to take myself out of the feel of the book. Once again, the final tale has elements in play that harken back to the original story in both content and style.Lastly, the picture gallery is a great addition to the book but I always wonder why they feel the need keep Natasha in the artwork as one of the girls when her time with the title was short lived. Where's Valerie's love?

Sadly no Campbell, but worth it for the wide range of different art styles

I bought this hoping there would be more of Campbell's spectacular artwork the likes of which that was present in Danger Girl: The Deluxe Edition, sadly there were only a few cover pieces scattered throughout. However I was highly pleased to discover that the first story, involving the daydreams of one underappreciated Danger Girl, was both highly entertaining and lushly illustrated by artist Arthur Adams. The rest of the book showcased both a variety of interesting art styles and entertaining stories. I already have the deluxe edition and some of the covers that are in that edition are also in this one, that and the lack of Campbell's art are the reason I deducted a star. All the stories here are new, as in they are not in the deluxe edition. If you're on the fence about adding this to your collection and are interested in seeing Danger Girl in a few different art styles than I would definitely recommend buying this. Review is by HALEY S., not Becky S.

    A Smattering of Sumptuous Stories

Danger Girl: Destination Danger is more of an anthology of graphic short stories, than a single novel. Unlike the uniform artwork in Danger Girl: The Ultimate Collection, several artists contributed to Destination Danger. The book includes: Danger Girl: Kamikaze, Danger Girl: Hawaiian Punch and the silly-but-fun spoof on 60's vintage TV shows, The Mod Bods, just to name a few. In Kamikaze, the girls run afoul of the Asian version of the Hammer Empire. I thought this story could have been more developed. However, the manner in which it ended, leaves me to believe--that maybe--we haven't seen the last of this menace.
