For my use,- it replaced a MARKSMAN non-dry-refill (Made in Germany). **Q: The short shoulder just behind the tip, it is square section or round?** A: The entire refill is round, including that short shoulder. **Q: Is this fit with nina ricci pen** A: Not too sure. When on Amazon site for Nina Ricci pen and refills, it says Schmidt 888 refills do the job. Problem is so many styles of pens. Sorry I couldn't be clearer. **Q: Will I be able to fit the small spring into the top of these refills** A: I have just had a look, there is a small hole in the base of the refill.
