I have a beagle who can be difficult to walk with his nose to the ground and had purchased the single one years ago, and had good luck. I recently adopted another beagle and found that the separate leashes I was using, was a nightmare, as they often switched positions and would get all twisted. The Thunderleash for "2", allows them to switch sides and it swivels so I no longer have to try to untangle them. I find the length perfect, as it gives them enough freedom to follow separate scents but not too much that I don't have the control needed. The leash also allows you to unhook and just take one dog, when needed. I do find that the leashes tend to slide to the side a little, however they don't seem to mind and I do often find myself walking to the side of them, as they are hunting scents. There's a clip at towards the top to hold the doggie bags too. It really works to stop them from pulling. The problem with wrapping a regular leash is that it always slips back and I constantly have to adjust it. When they first came out with this I knew I wanted one but the cost made me hold off. The one dog I have now I just HAD to buy it, I couldn't put off buying it any longer, this dog is way too hard to control. I've only used this for my one dog, as my other dog is older and is no problem walking. One walks perfectly on a leash and the other pulls unbelievably. In the past we could only walk one dog at a time, so one had to stay home :( Now with this unbelievable leash we can take them both out at the same time. The golden that "pulls" still does but certainly not at much. They walk together and go from side to side without getting tangled up. The grip portion of the leash is soft, sturdy and quite comfortable in my hand for our 45 min+ walks.
