Please note that unlike many of the other tide clocks featured on desertcart, this model is one of the few with the hours correctly scaled on the clock face. As, to follow the cycle of the tides, one cycle of the clock must take 12 hour 25mins, it follows that the time period between the 'High' and 'Low' points on the clock face and the next [5hr] point will be 1hr 12.5mins while the remaining graduations should be 1hr apart. As can be seen in the photograph, the spacing of the graduations on the clock face correctly indicate this. Review: Full Moon clock. - I am finally able to write my review on this after putting it through the test period. I bought it as a Christmas gift for my husband and I as we have recently moved quite near to the coast and thought it would be quite useful for checking the tide changes as we have a dog we like to take for runs on the beach. As we didn't open it til Christmas and on reading the instructions we saw you had to set it on the date of the full moon at high tide, we could not get it working until that time, otherwise to spoil the effect!! So the first full moon was on Jan 4th in this new year of 2015, and we set the clock. Have now been monitoring it on a daily basis and the tide changes have been spot on I am pleased to say. So am very pleased with this tide clock and am sure it will be a talking point for a while to come. Was very reasonable for the price too and it arrived very quickly too after the initial order so will definitely recommend this company.
