I was a bit skeptical since I use an (admittedly off-brand) paper texture screen protector on my iPad, but I have been using the same pencil tip for over a month with no visible wear. I am a graphic designer so I use my pencil almost every day for work or other uses, and it has been consistent and nice. The texture is really great on my screen and offers a nice amount of resistance without impacting pencil stability too much. The different hardness levels give a different feel of the pencil against my screen, but don't seem to wear like the official pencil tips.
