Do they come with batteries? Also, are they good for night sky? I live on high floor of condo with great view, and want to view city and sky.** A: This binocular does not use batteries (Amazon flagged our products as “uses lithium batteries” and they are unable to fix that!). The Sport ED with give great view of the city as well as the night sky. But for astronomy, it’s best to not look through glass as it causes reflections and double images. Best to view the night sky outside if possible. **Q: Does it come with harness?** A: I do not know what you mean by ‘harness”, but it comes with a strap you can use to put around your neck. It is shaped and lightly padded. **Q: your eye relief is listed at 18 mm. but the Oberwerks website lists it as "15 mm(usable). Why the discrepancy?** A: Because usable eye relief is typically overstated by manufacturers, sometimes by a lot, we recently revised the eye relief specifications on our site to "usable eye relief", as very-accurately-measured on our ROAMER system (more info on that at our site). This makes Oberwerk models appear to have less eye relief than other brands, but that's not the case- we simply state actual usable eye relief. Under our system, as little as 12mm of eye relief is enough for most people to use with glasses on. We have not yet updated Amazon specification yet, but will once we figure out a way to convey the difference between us and others. **Q: Can this item be mounted on a monopod or tripod?** A: Yes it can be, I believe it came with an adapter that allows for the binocular to be mounted. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ These are quality *by B***J on Reviewed in the United States on 25 February 2024* Been looking for a reasonably priced set of binoculars for bird watching for a few years. These are not inexpensive binoculars- but they are worth every penny (my opinion). The optics are crystal clear. The set is medium in weight and solid-feeling. I’ll be using these for many years. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worth every penny, super sharp *by D*** on Reviewed in the United States on 28 January 2024* Amazon is quick on delivery today with the recommended Oberwerk 10x42 SE seriesI do note the focus tolerance sweet spot is tight in getting it just right but in the past when having the Zeiss and Swarovski there was a wider sweet spot of that perfect focus, being more open to needing to be right on it, if that make sense but for $372 out the door these are very sharp and the edge focus is great and don't see and CA so far.There diffidently worth every penny and Oberwerk glass has always been on the side of the birder and astronomer, good work! they will sell a lot of these. ### ⭐ Can't focus ! *by G***P on Reviewed in the United States on 7 April 2024* Horrible focus.
