Will this also remove the primer crimp in 5.56 cases?

There are a lot of "crimp removal" info here. I'll add mine: I reload .556 with crimped primers. RCBS has an excellent single stage press tool for that - "RCBS Primer Pocket Swager Combo-2" . It works awesome.

Does this decap crimped 5.56 primers?

I will decamp crimped primers just be sure that when using to make sure the the brass is all the way back in the shell holder or you can bind the pen witch will stop production so go ahead and buy two or three more pens so you will always have them and you won't have to wait on them

will this work for 7.62x54r shells?

Yes it will but the shells must be boxer primed, otherwise the die may break. I use this die on everything from 22 caliber shells to 45 caliber shells with no problems

Will this work for 7.62x39?

I haven't reloaded any 7.62x39 rounds but I have done .308(7.62x51) with no problems. Get the correct shell holder and apply plenty of lube, you should be fine.

Top notch depriming die

As I’ve found with all Lee products it’s the very best steel and highest levels of precision. I wanted to deprime before resizing so that I could tumble clean my brass first before resizing and reloading. This does nearly all used case sizes and is very tough even when using it to deprime used crimped ex military brass. Should last a lifetime and a very fair price
