Consider this replacement *by P***C on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 January 2020* It's been several decades since the commodore 64 and it's "brick" PSU was in production; machines will be over 30 years old and more.Enthusiasts of this iconic machine will know that to extend the life of them it is advisable to have them serviced as some components, like capacitors, are degrading and could short; causing damage.While the computer can be future proofed ; the PSU cannot because it is resin encapsulated.This new power supply has over voltage and is of an air cooled design; that means it may be possible to have one repaired in the future and should something wrong with the computer, that over voltage feature may just save those precious chips from damage.
