That digresses - the difference will be in the thickness/weight or 'gauge' of the strings and will dictate the tone you get from the guitar. As these are classical, or nylon, strings the typical average player would probably use light or medium gauge. I have never used 'heavy' or 'extra heavy' though these would give a much warmer tone, but harder on the finger tips for an infrequent classical guitar player like me. The tension on the guitar will be greater for the heavier strings and that needs to be considered in terms of what the guitar manufacturer recommends.If you are, like me, an occasional classical guitar player then 'light' or 'medium' should be about right. Ultimately the choice will be down to what sort of tone you want and that is something you may wish/need to experiment with until you are satisfied with the resultant tone.I like D'adddario strings and think they are very good value for money, although recently I have been trying out Elixir strings on two of my steel strung guitars. I also play a lot of other guitars & instruments so am changing between many different types of strings & equipment.
