Review: Perfect for Drone Safety - I use this as part of my Drone Kit with the inspire one and I was quite impressed on it's ease of use, and how sensitive the device is. The smallest of gusts turns the small blades which is translated as a reading on the display. This information is available on websites such as the Met Office isnt always accurate, If you are climbing, flying a drone, or walking in the Lake District - there's no better way to measure the weather than exactly where you are. The Anemometer is very lightweight, it only weighs 73g so it's unnoticeable if it's in your pocket. The device comes with a yellow silicone jacket which protects it from light moisture and minor accidents. weather information can be important, areas such as these have there have there own micro-climates, and the weather can change quickly. The Proster Wind Speed Anemometer/Thermometer is a small compact device, that you can put in your pocket or backpack which can be used to accurately measure (+/- 5%) wind speed as well as air temperature. The controls are simple; using the Mode & Set buttons you can set the preferred units of wind speed measurement i.e. MPH, KM/H, MS, knots etc. The °C/°F button toggles between temperature reading between Celsius & Fahrenheit. The LCD display is large and clear, everything you need to know is displayed on a single screen, this includes wind speed, temperature & battery life. Pressing the mode button illuminates the backlight for approx 10 seconds. Overall this is a great little device which can be useful for all type of outdoor activities. It's small, lightweight and tells you almost everything you need to know about the current weather conditions, I highly recommend it.

**Q: Does this show mph? looking to use it for flying kites.**
A: Dear Dylan Berry,Yes, the unit of this anemometer can be m/s, Km/hr, ft/min, Knots, mph. Please rest assured.Regards,Proster

**Q: How do you get it to power on?**
A: It takes batteries. (CR2032).  However, do not leave them in because even when it is switched off, it still drains the battereies withing a few days.

**Q: Can anyone tell me if the product information contained with the anemometer says the accuracy for air velocity and what it is +/- speed in m/s thanks.**
A: +/- 5% but word of advice, this takes CR2032 batteries and if you leave them in, they drain within a couple of days, even when switched off so you must take your batteries out following the use of this unit. Apart from that, this is a great unit for the price.

**Q: does it measure average wind speed?**
A: It just measures the current wind speed.  But you do quickly get a sense of the highs and lows of the wind.

Since this is the only anemometer I own I cannot assess how accurate this product is. However it’s easy to operate, its small and light, it’s cheap, and it seems to work very well. I use the anemometer when I fly my drone
