I like this tape because it feels very similar to skin and is hardly noticeable. I do not always use exactly as instructions, I find it is good for protecting delicate areas e.g heals from rubbing or keeping air out of small painful cracks in thumb skin while it heals. **Q: I’m thinking of buying this to cover a new tattoo while at work. does it peel off easy in the shower? is it breathable? how did you like it? thanks** A: I don’t think it would go over a tatto. it is sticky all over so if your tattoo is new it would be painful to remove . It would only be suitable if you were going to use some sort of dressing then use the op site to hold it in place and keep dry . Hope this helps. **Q: Can this be used to cover a peritoneal dialysis catheter to allow going in the bath?** A: I would say no but, I would check with you PD specialist nurse to be sure. I believe showering is better than having a bath with a PD catheter in situ and not for 2-3 weeks post op but ask the nurse specialists as they should be able to advise you and maybe even supply you with special dressings. The product is great for my use (sticking microphones on to people at drama shows) as it completely sticky so sticks to skin BUT for your use you could risk dislodging the catheter when you remove the film.. Not sure I've helped much, sorry. Helen **Q: Can you swim with this? Does it come away when submerged?** A: I wear it for two weeks to hold a glucose sensor in place. I have been swimming, shower and soak in the bath but it has never come off. It does become ragged after two weeks, but still holder the sensor in place. I believe it would definitely last through a swimming session. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Strong, great for holding oxygen tubes and ng tubes *by M***F on 14 August 2017* Bought this after using many other medical tapes to keep my premature sons oxygen prongs in place. Perfect width to fit across his face, holds really well even with little hands pulling at the tubes, waterproof feature means it looks cleaner than hypafix. Also less painful to take off than other brands using a soapy flannel, although adhesive remover is easiest to use.Instructilons are clear, very easy to use ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing stuff *by A***B on 5 September 2016* This stuff has saved me a total of around £100 so far. I'm a diabetic and I use the Freestyle Libre glucose monitoring system. I don't know if it's a bad batch or just bad luck, but I've had 3 sensors now where the glue did not stick. The first time it happened, Abbott refused to replace, claiming user damage. £50 down the drain. I learned my lesson and bought some of this stuff. The glue on the sensors has failed twice since (implying faulty batch, not user error), but luckily I've recognised that very quickly, and have been able to slap some of this stuff on to keep it securely in place. Both times the sensor has worked fine, and the film has lasted extremely well over the 2 week life of the sensor.I'm sure this is excellent stuff for wounds and other medical purposes, but that's just a bonus for me. So, thank you Smith & Nephew, you saved me a small fortune with this stuff. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Helps with adhesion of my libre sensor *by J***S on 9 April 2022* These sensors are meant to be placed on the back of your upper arm and for me this sometimes meant that knocked it against the door frame and dislodged it - my fault for being clumsy. This tape helps keep the sensor in place and will, most times, prevent it from being damaged. Sticky marks left on the arm can be a little difficult to remove but that shows strong adhesive properties.
