A simple job done in a simple , intuitive way . ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy, good, but with some limitations; opaque, incomplete instructions. *by D***E on July 1, 2017* This is fairly simple to use. The instructions are not very good. There's no protection from the elements, so you can be sure that after a few years the dials will fade. It won't work if the water pressure is too low.Having said that, it's simple to use. There's no clock, so if you want it to water once a day, you go out and turn it on at exactly the time you want it to start. What they don't tell you is that if you go out at 7pm, hook it up, set it to 24hrs *nothing* will happen. You have to wait 24hrs to see if the thing is working. You can still use the manual override to make sure it will turn on and water will flow. You are exchanging some options for simplicity of use, but if you want something to run your drip system once or twice a day, it's basically easy.*Supposedly* it turn off if the battery dies. I haven't tested this but I bet it will do exactly that--my old one didn't.There is a battery gauge built in but it isn't clear how it works. I'm guessing that it will start blinking at you if there is a problem.Basically, a simple device with new dreaded menus, but I doubt it will last more than a few years without a protective cover.
