However it is a very short cable so you might need to source buy another one.as far as I know it works like a SatNav from your phone and you can configure your route for shortest and quickest. I don't think you can download a road as such. It is a good device and has about 5 hours of use between charges. No it does not void motorways. It all runs from your smart phone , so you can do as you would on any SatNav. The Vio can then be attached when you need to use it. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works fine on my 650 *by D***N on 10 August 2018* While this is advertised as an accessory for scooters, it works a treat on my Kawasaki 650. Although the screen is tilted slightly, due to the angle of the mirror stem, it remains visible, even in bright sunlight, and through a tinted visor. Journey planning on my mobile, where the maps are stored, is simple. The fact that the maps are stored on my phone has little effect on the phone battery life. for a fraction of the cost of a full-on bike satnav, I'd recommend this to anyone. I took a run out a couple of days ago, with route settings set to 'avoid motorways' and discovered routes I'd never guessed at before. With lifetime map updates and live traffic too, it has enough of the features of its big brothers to tempt me away from Google Maps on my phone. Secure fitting, locked solid and safe at 70mph (plus a bit) Oh, and it can be set to display the limit for the road you are on, and warn you if you exceed it. i'm a very happy buyer. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does the job *by B***D on 7 October 2018* Fitted to my motorbike. You do have to have a rough idea where you are going though as it's scooter biased software will always take you down little roads. I also almost missed the Dublin ferry because literally it was taking me round in a circle in the grafton area. Although I felt the mounting system was vulnerable it stayed attached all the way even at high speeds. Battery life about 2.5 Hrs. The device itself is nicely designed and easily portable. As others have said the tom tom app is weak which was a surprise. It needs to be more configurable and allow you to stick to main roads.
