No irritation. I use them for washing dishes. They do get smelly inside eventually and require to be turned inside out and washed. The gloves used to be made in 3 sizes S, M and L. I'd get the Large ones as my fingers are long. Now they changed it to Medium size only. The Medium is tighter and not as comfortable though the gloves stretch a little bit over time.
