My voice therapist said that I could find one that's OK for about $30, so I started with testing 4 of wired ones in that price range, as well as a wireless system that a friend loaned to me, and two sets of wireless lavalier mics connected to my amplifier . After spending countless hours in the first two weeks trying to make any of those products work well enough for my teaching, causing tremendous frustration, I ordered this one. The sound is clear, the mic is wireless and omni-directional, so the amplifier does NOT need to be on my body, connected to the mic with a wire but far enough from it and other devices in the room not to cause interference (awful shrieking), and the mic picks ups much more reliably, without echo.
