Is this playable on the New Nintendo 2ds?

Ok, there seem to be a lot of mixed answers people have so I'm gonna try to make this as simple as possible Systems that will work are the new Nintendo 3ds, New Nintendo 3ds xl, and the new 2ds xl. Systems that will not work are the 3ds, 3ds xl,2ds and any ds or dsi system. This game is part of Nintendo's new 3ds systems series of games that only work with new 3ds systems. So if the name of your 3ds (or 2ds) system begins with new, this game will work. If it doesn't, it won't. So, to answer your question, yes, it will work on the New 2ds xl, but not the regular 2ds. Does it can be playable on an 3ds xl original? Or it is only for the new 3ds xl?

This game can only be played on the "New" 3ds, "New" 3ds xl, & "New" 2ds xl. The "New" is the new tech in the newest version of the 3ds. Older models cannot play this game. The older models are not designed to play any game marked "New."

What does this mean by only playavle on a new 3ds? My son has a 3ds, but it is a couple years old. So, will this not work then?

The "New 3DS" is basically the 3DS version 2. All of the New 3DS version have a second joystick on the right side. It's a little grey nub that is up from the Y button. If you don't have that second little joystick nub, then you don't have the "New 3DS" This game is one of the very few that only work on the New 3DS, the New 3DS XL, or the New 2DS XL.
