You can't lift it off the stand and store the press and stand separately if you wish.

how do you warm it up before pressing

After you switch it on you have to press the button to select what temperature you require. See instructions for setting temperature. It then heats up to that setting.

Does it remove creases easily

Its fantastic!I bought it for my daughter !well her husband actually as he does the ironing.I-have had one for years and could not cope without one.My ironing is just as if its come out of a Chinese laundry.Obviously there are garments that need an iron to get in the corners but most things come out fabulous.It gets easier everytime.
