The issue we had was the tank had perished around the union joint, I sanded the surface clean, so the epoxy had something to key to, but the copper expands/contracts differently to the epoxy, so it eventually started dripping again. Unfortunately, our wardrobes were built around the tank, so I have had to take them apart, drain down the system, and replace the hot water tank, it was only a few hundred pounds more to ditch the vented system and replace the header tanks / hot water tank with a combi. But it would have meant lifting the floors throughout the entire house. I had two issues with it. It was a warm place to work and following instructions, the stuff was setting into an unworkable state in 10-20 seconds. This is just too quick. It's just not easy enough to work with in a cramped and almost out of reach place (which all leaks are invariably in).
