I've used them non stop for over a week now in what I think would be a relatively abusive environment (lower back for at least 10-16 hours per day) and have not seen any issues. They come color coded on the split end, not the end closest to the unit, which I suppose might be nicer, but not a significant issue. If you're in the market for leads and wondering if 8 conductors would be better than 4 because of a large surface area of injury, etc. - I'd highly recommend these splitters - it made a large difference for me. And it's a large savings, because to get a quad channel TENS with a number of features you'd spend at least an extra $100 over a 2 channel unit, and for me, I'm ok with just the leads, I didn't need the added sophistication of controlling all of them over 4 channels instead of just 2. It is a bifurcating Y cable. It doesn't plug directly into a TENS/EMS unit. It plugs into the end of the lead wire. With each one you use, you can use one additional Electrode pad. **Q: Will these work for a unit that uses direct current?** A: Wires or electrical conductors are basically rated by 2 key values. The amount of Current or amperage and the amount of potential or voltage. You need to check the current output of the device. If the leads that came with your unit are the same AWG size they will work. These are low current wires and will not handle any large currents, however considering electrical currents above 20 miliamps can become dangerous, I would think your unit will be less than that. **Q: What size are the pins? look to know if they will work with the duo flick electrastim system** A: The pins are standard 2mm that fits all pin accessories and pads. It will work with your system just fine. **Q: will these leads fit a nex wave tens unit made by zynex** A: Can't be 100% sure without having your tens unit to check, but these splitters are specifically designed to adapt tens leads. Some manufacturers will deliberately design their connections to force you to buy their products.....but not likely here. The worst scenario.....it doesn't fit and you return it. Now I can use my TENS unit and have more areas covered. I can go from covering two areas to four. If I had a complaint then it would be that it seems to use more of the power and I need to turn it up a little when I use them. But that makes sense to me.
