**Q: Does the reindeer stand on its own or does it have to lean up against something?**
A: Our reindeer was able to stand on his own. His legs are soft like his body but you can move them enough to make him stand alone.

**Q: Can the reindeer see and hear like the elves**
A: Because the reindeer travel, they can see.  They can hear because when it is very dark at night, hearing helps them to get around too.  The elves and reindeer work together to keep an eye out watching what you do.

**Q: Are they sold without the book? We already have a book**
A: They have a book with it.

**Q: Does the reindeer change locations each night like the elf?**
A: Since the elf is "magical" and is not to be touched the reindeer poses as "snuggle buddy" for children. It can also sometimes be a "partner in crime" to the elf. ;-)

My daughter loved receiving this from her elf on the shelf. Lovely little reindeer. Really soft and much better quality than the actual elves. It has a gold sparkly heart on its collar that fills with Christmas spirit to help santas sleigh fly on Christmas eve. This is explained in the book included in the pack. Daughter enjoyed carrying hers around all December, hardly put it down so worth every penny :)
