But the item in the box differs from the picture on the box and in the listing on Amazon. Advantage: It weighs in a 3.5 pounds, not the listed 1.5 pounds---so more stable. Disadvantage: The diameter of the disk is 5.5 inches and the diameter of the padded ring (where it will tip from, not the edge of the disk) is 5 inches, not the 6 inches listed---so less stable (even allowing for the fact that the padded ring on a 6 inch disk is probably only 5.5 inches across). All in all it is better than the desktop tripod I was using with 3 legs extending 4 inches out from the center. So I will keep the delivered item. It will tip when pushed in the direction of the mic, but it is very hard to tip it far enough to topple. It is, as it claims to be, six inches tall and is quite heavy with a nice non-marring rubber bottom to prevent sliding around and/or leaving marks on your desk.
