I did have to trim the covers a little with a stanley knife to fit and to make the cover easily removable. I've only ever used 2 pairs in all my cycling life, and I'm 70.** A: Being only 66 I also am on my second pair and only because I lost one, so I don't know. Thanks** A: They provide much more grip than walking without the covers and also protect the cleats from wearing thin, particularly useful if you have the cleats without any rubber bits underneath. Don't take up much room so can be dropped in a pocket or saddle bag and popped on when you get to café or whatever. Should prevent wear and extend life of several pairs of cleats. Loses a star because they are not particularly malleable and need to be shaped to the cleats before they are used in anger. Worth having and if I could buy covers for my Shimano cleats at same low price, I would get some (but they seem to be quite a bit more expensive).
