The back sliding door came with a handle already attached to it. That handle is very uncomfortable to grip and pull. So when we needed to select a handle for this sliding barn door/ pantry door, we wanted something that didn't hurt to grip. I am happy to say this handle is comfortable and solid.I chose the black one to match with the slider hardware. I looked for a bigger handle but chose this one because of the smooth, ergonomically comfortable shape. It is large enough for a normal or large hand to grip on without looking where to place your hand. You can just reach and go. By that I mean that these are a bit off center and I believe it works better ergonomically. My only wish was that they did not have the bit of glossy surface.
