Good stuff. Usefully lengthy

This is meant to be the best quality 1cm security flex that you can buy, and as this hasn't been tested as yet, I have no reason to disbelieve it. It certainly looks the business & is good value for money & is perfect for locking front wheels & removable seats to an existing lock. Having said that, (and I apologise here in advance if the following advice is teaching grandma's to suck eggs...): I do urge people looking for security for their bike to understand that any thief worth his salt can still get through this cable with just decent quality snips in only a very short time. You therefore need to anchor the bike to an immovable (eg steel post) object via a decent heavy duty lock & chain or shackle lock (google "Sheldon Brown" online, but preferably secure through rear wheel & frame together if possible). Try not to leave room for a thief to get a small "bottle" jack in the "D" of a shackle lock if using this mode of security (try to buy the shackle that fits your bike snugly & just has room for a post). I suggest that for evey £10 you spend on bike, you spend at least £1 on lock... (and start at no less than £20). The Sold Secure Silver Kryptonite Kryptolok is a decentish sub £25 shackle for anything up to around £200 new, for example. Their Evolution lock is just a few quid more and is Sold Secure Gold (see my other review, as I have one). Please however remember that if a thief good at what he does wants your bike, he will have it... The trick (unfortunately for others) is to move up the ladder by getting him to move onto easier pickings. Other tips: 1) Lock bike outside cafe's, pubs, places here plenty of people are visible just inside (the thief does not wish to be disturbed by an irrate owner/punter). 2) Park where monitored by CCTV (although most thieves would not be massively deterred) 3) Make sure the post/fixing you attach to does not allow your bike to be simply lifted up & over it! 4) The item you attach your lock to must not be construed to be actually much weaker than your lock (although attaching to anything immovable offers another layer of security). 5) A good independant reviewer of all bike locks (attack tested independantly) is "Bike Radar" (just google it). Be wary, as the odd sold secure gold lock does not rate particularly well in their practical testing. I hope thats of help to some (sorry if you read that lot & knew it already)...

Strong cable to use with my bike lock.. Long enough to attach to virtually any immovable object.

It’s a good solid cable. I use two of these cables through two u locks to secure 4 bikes together. Feels safe enough to leave. The biggest deterrent is having dirty old bikes that no one wants, and I didn’t want the cables and locks to be worth more than my bike. It’s flexible enough to weave around the bikes, one loop end can go through the other loop to maximise the length of the cable. I know if the bad guys are well equipped they can cut through most things so making it difficult is a deterrent. What worries me about the cables is that with a pair of bolt cutters you can cut right through them so I put one cable through all main frames and through a ulock around a main frame and the railing or bike stands then run the other cable through the frame near the front wheels and through the first ulock and put the second ulock through both cables the first ulock and the railing so there are two points to break. I also use these to secure my tow bar bike rack to the van using the cable to wrap around the chassis, the bike rack and the tow bar. I’m pleased with the cables, the sheathing is a good flexible hardened plastic and I’ve used them and abused them for a few weeks and with a quick wipe they still look good as new.

Weatherproof and pretty chunky. Gave me piece of mind when in France that it was locked to the van and safe.

I used these to secure and lock cargo boxes to the roof of my car. The cables are very strong. No one ever tried to break into my things or cut the cables, so I don't know how resistant they are to being cut, but just the fact that intruders could see that I had a strong cable and padlocks securing my belongings is definitely a deterrent to would-be thieves.

Great Cable - better than I expected pairs to both my U-locks a treat. These cables are as good as they come, I have the 4 foot cable that was supplied with my Kryptonite U-Lock a longer cable is sometimes required depending on which bike is in use... This is just as well made as the 4 foot cable they coil easily and can be carried attached to the lock using the Velcro strap and loops. The extra length of the 7 foot cable should make running the cable through both wheels around a post etc a good deal easier. Also the plastic coating gives protection to paint work is robust and the whole cable is well made all round adding a good level of add-on security. Much needed if you have QR (quick release) wheels etc.

Having all or part of a bike stolen is heartbreaking. Even when the one stolen is as cheap as chips. Take it from experience. Anything that can help is worth its weight in gold and this is a device that will get your average bike thief to move on to one that doesn't involve quite as much work. Unless, naturally, your bike is a Rolls Royce. Then all bets are off! For those that don't know, this fits in various ways. Through the seat if you want, but in my case through both wheels and around a solid D lock and through a cheaper cable lock too. In other words, stops either wheel being taken. However - to be clear - if the main lock is broken this is broken too. Don't cheat yourself on length. Shorter might leave you struggling. This will - in my case anyway - warp around the seat pole and could even be used to secure shopping to the front handlebars. The advantage of a sturdy bike. No complaints at all - should be standard issue in today's world.

Una penalizzazione è la lunghezza, non idoneo da portarsi in moto. L' ho restituito e ho preso il suo gemello, ma di lunghezza 200 cm, poiché all'atto dell'acquisto, non era chiara l'effettiva lunghezza (quasi 10 metri)

Esto no es un producto de alta seguridad. Es un cable muy fino que sirve para fijar piezas de bajo valor a la bici, para evitar que alguien se lo lleve de forma oportunista. La etiqueta dice que solo se debe usar para asegurar sillines o cascos. Bien, para este uso le doy 5 estrellas. El cable es fino y seguramente se puede cortar relativamente rápido con alicates. Pero si tu sillín y tija vale 50€, no creo que un ladrón se atreve a sacar herramientas para tan poco. El cable es ligero para llevar y suficientemente fino como para poder pasarse por encima de las barras del sillín. Hay dos maneras típicas de enganche. La primera, y mas segura, es pasar un lazo entre el sillín y las barras y después pasar el otro lazo dentro del primero. Este segundo lazo se engancha en el candado principal de la bici y ahora es imposible llevarse el sillín sin romper nada. Ejemplo: http://blog.performancebike.com/2013/09/12/real-advice-how-to-lock-your-bike/ La segunda forma es pasar el primer lazo por dentro del cuadro, pasar el segundo lazo a través de este y finalmente asegurar el segundo lazo entre la tija y el sillín. Básicamente ahora hace falta desmontar el sillín de la tija (usando una llave hexagonal) para llevarse el sillín. Es menos seguro, pero de este modo puede ir con el cable permanentemente en posición segura. Y por eso le doy cinco estrellas.Para asegurar cuadro y ruedas hacen falta productos más seguros.

Great item for adding that extra security for my ebike.

No es para mantener algo seguro o fuera de la vista por mucho tiempo, pero funciona perfecto para sujetar piezas y asegurar la bicicleta rápidamente. Es un must para complementar cualquier candado.
