I remember the old standard UK spirit measure of 1/6th of a gill, well a gill is 1/4 pint or 5 fluid ounces and I calculated that the metric equivalent of that is 23.6ml. Thus the 25ml measure is a good single and the 50ml a good double measure. Incidentally, in most EU countries a standard measure of spirits is 50ml. This set is of adequate quality with the official capacity stamped on then so now my guests know exactly how much alcohol thay have had.
