After 13 years the game has been constantly refined and added to, the animations are wonderful, the graphical fidelity for a handheld is amazingly detailed and the sounds and music are awesome. However, note, if you have no patience, you will be bored by the starting quests. These quests are required if you are new to the series. vets will fly through them but if your new, take it slow and don't rush, you learn a lot at the beginning that's very useful later on. So if you fancy a challenging game where skill, timing, precision and patience are greatly rewarded or a boss rush version of a souls game, Monster Hunter is probably for you. Although Monster Hunter world has a ton of improvements on the game this is definitely a great game for those who played the older ones. It has a lot of the more modern features but with the older monsters like Yian Garuga ect. So overall World is better but this is still a great monster hunter game and the best way to enjoy the memories. There are a lot of new mechanics that weren't in previous games. So far it's my favorite game in the franchise (have played all of them). **Q: Can you play this on 2ds** A: Yes a 2ds can play all 3ds games minus the 3D **Q: can you turn off blood** A: You can turn it down.
