I use this for him and don’t have to worry about rinsing. It gives a pleasant mint smell and he really likes it. He is 2 years old and so i put the paste on his brush. Its lasted 6 months. **Q: Is it gluten free?** A: I think so. Though it doesn’t specify its gluten free. You can check the ingredients. Its there in the images. **Q: Does this still come in a metal tube, I can’t quite tell from the redesigned package... but hoping they’ve switched to a regular plastic tube?!** A: It’s still in the metal tube! **Q: does this package re-designed? All ages. We have tried many natural products for three decades, and this one finally leaves no filmy sandy particulates on the teeth, even in the morning when bacteria likes to load up...It leaves the teeth clean and does not have a strong flavor. My dental hygienist uses only water to brush her teeth, and coats them with coconut oil to create a protective layer through the day, after she brushes. She recommends I do the same but a mild gel gives us something to look forward to brushing with after meals.
