Definitely for specific items like CV joints you need to use the correct grease, but for general purpose use this is fine. The best thing about this is the packaging. A regular can will last for 20 years and more than likely end up contaminated with rust dust and dirt. This is a neat tube that can live in you tool box. It stays clean, still lasts for years and you don't need to grab a handful to get the job done.

A: Yes, I used it to lubricate the mechanical parts of a VHS recorder to ensure it did not jam when loading/unloading tapes that are over 20 years old - converting all to DVD & then to HD

A: Yes! This product is fitted with a nozzle.

**Q: Is it in solid form and stays that way ?**
A: Yes!, our white lithium grease is in a solid form. It is rated a NLGI 2 and to best compare that with something is direct to the consistency of peanut butter. The fact of if it would stay as a solid would depend on the application for example having used for general maintenance is the perfect application, there for using in in something that a has a high load such as a wheel bearing wouldn’t be recommended. Thank you.

**Q: can this be used in a car automatic gear selector which is a form of very hard plastic?**
A: Not sure did use it on bonnet release catch sucessfully
