Review: Yeeeeeee - hah (Snigger) - All CDs should be this fun! After the straight ahead country of half of the 1st track - it then cuts looose (and how!). The band are a group of USA Punk rockers who do covers for compilations - leaving their own compositions for their various bands. It's a lazy way to review - but I heard Pogues, Ramones and Damned influences loud & clear. 9 Tracks - 25 minutes (so it ain't prog rock) - but they do what any covers band should (bring something new to the party). Looks like I'll be buying more of their output!
Review: A grower and a keeper - When I first heard this album I thought that it was quite weak compared to previous Gimme releases. However, after a few more listens it really grew on me and is now probably my favourite Gimme album. Although a lot of the songs aren't instantly recognizable each one becomes more catchy with every listen. This album is definitely worthy of your collection. Highlights include Goodbye Earl, Jolene and Much Too Young.
