Vermiculite Insulation granules are designed to be poured down either side of a multi-fuel Flexible Chimney Liner to keep the flue warm, maintain an efficient draw and reduce the build-up of condensates. It also provides the additional benefit of holding the liner rigid for cleaning. This Vermiculite is medium grade consisting of granules sized between 5 -15mm. However, you may require large quantities if you plan to use it instead of fiber glass for insulation. A 2m X 1m X 50cm horizontal surface required about 5 bags (500 l). It isn't the cheapest of option unless you have to use this product because of its non flammable properties. PS not mentioned on the bag but I would recommend wearing a mask when you apply. Great multi purpose product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Light insulation *by B***E on 26 February 2018* Used it for insulating concrete at a 5:2:1 mix of Vermiculite: Cement: Sand and found the consistency just right for the job. You may want to experiment with the mix for whatever job you are doing with it. You definitely want something to hold it together unless you are burying it as it is very light and will blow away unless contained.
