This is is a pudding basin with a tight lid that you put in a pan to steam and you do need a pan to fit, it fits comfortably into both my soup pans so I had no problem there. It is easy to use, the lid fits tightly and is easy to clean. I used it to make a steak and Kidney pudding and it worked perfectly. The size is perfect to use to feed a family. I heartily recommend this, it is just a really simple but brilliant piece of kitchen equipment.

Check out the nic of this steak and kidney pudding! I'm so pleased with this, it's easy to use and easy to clean. I put it in my large casserole pot as others pointed out it needs to go in a deep 28cm pan and it worked beautifully. Well worth it and it will get lots of use.

I would have awarded five stars, except for a big problem with the handles on each side of the bowl! The handles are fixed, and therefore would not fit inside even my biggest of pans. This made it impossible to submerge in more than a little water, and with the saucepan lid on, as suggested in the manufacturer's instructions. Not designed by a cook clearly! My last pudding steamer had handles too, but they lay flat on each side, and could be lifted up when required. Such a shame, because the steamer is great, and so much easier to use than the old style pudding bowl, with baking paper, tin foil and string. However, with the current design, I can't really recommend, unless the handles are modified. Not a hard thing to do. To save me buying another steamer, I got my husband to use his angle grinder, and remove the offending handles..

Absolutely brilliant, does away with the need for greaseproof paper and fiddly string, however for a Christmas pud I would still use the greaseproof as a liner for ease of getting the pud out as that did need it. For a steak and kidney pudding no need, just grease the tin even though it's a good non stick tin. The pud came out like a dream. However we did need to hammer the handles down on the side to fit it in a bigger pot.

This was delivered the after ordering and I was delighted with it on the off. This is amazing, it might seem silly to rave about this but honestly it is fantastic. It is one of the best things that I have acquired recently. I can't praise it enough. It is so easy to use and clean, no trouble at all. I would highly recommend it

Hmmm..... it’s a quality item and washed well in dishwasher. The reason for the 3 stars is the steamer is too big with the handles so I ripped them off but was left with 4 holes. Luckily my dad has a rivet gun so was able to sort this out for me, thanks to dad it’s now perfect and fitted in my crock pot pressure cooker no problem where I used the slow cooker function for 8 hours. It came out looking perfect to be fair and I now have a great item. Don’t add the handles at manufacturer stage and you’ll have a lot of happy customers.

This is a great basin and superb lid. One big, big problem with the handles. Stick out way to far to fit in any pan. I've broke mine off and fitted little screws and washers in their place, only way I could use it. Such a bad design for a great product

Excellent! What can I say- ordered from Uk site as the Italian one was selling it for €68. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that my order came from the Italian Amazon. Naturally I was charged the price asked for from UK site. If anything, my order put the Italian site in place, they have lowered it to €20. Getting back to product, it really is a nifty steamer. I made 2 Christmas pudding and they both came out well.

Dieser Dampfgarer oder Puddingtopf ist einer der besten Küchenartikel die ich bisher gekauft habe. Da wir englische Puddings lieben war die Anschaffung eines solchen Teiles unbedingt notwendig. Die Ergebnisse sind einfach großartig. Ich benütze den Topf in unserem Neff-Backofen mit Dampfunktion, habe also keine Probleme mit den Henkeln. Die Reinigung ist auch sehr einfach, da durch die Beschichtung wirklich nichts anhaftet. Wirklich eine hervorragende Ergänzung für unseren Haushalt.

Muy bueno, y el pedido fue rapidísimo, lo probé para hacer un pastel al baño maría y se deslizo muy fácilmente sin necesidad de untarlo con mantequilla. Igual al que vi en la repostería de Anna Olson. Lo recomiendo.

J'attends Noël avec impatience afin que mon mari nous concocte un pudding de Noël dans ce cuit vapeur. Il est très simple d'utilisation, le couvercle se verrouille et protège ainsi le contenu.

Bought this to make my grandmothers Christmas carrot pudding and it worked perfectly. Biggest challenge was it didn't fit any of my pots, but my father remembered that my grandmother used to use a canning pot. So, yes I had to buy a canning pot to use this. But the pot came with a rack which also kept the pudding mould off the bottom, which was excellent and they're not that expensive. The lid locks on and is handy because you can lower and pull the whole thing out by the top ring. The handles are just wide enough that it will probably not fit into a standard soup pot. The dimensions are roughly 10 inches across (including the handles) and 6 inches tall. It worked perfectly and I'm looking forward to trying other steamed pudding recipes. I would recommend it, with the caveat that you either have or are willing to buy a wide enough pot to fit it.

I love this pudding steamer. I decided to make Christmas pudding for the first time this year, and the website for the recipe I chose recommended this steamer. I thought it was a little plain and maybe a little pricier, but in the end I decided to go with it, and I'm glad I did. It's just the right size for the recipe I was using, and it is a high-quality item with solid construction. Very nice!
