I was wrong. The ones from Menards have a pore size which is significantly smaller. When laying down paint on flat surfaces with semi-gloss or gloss paint, such as woodwork, the pore size matters. Whether you thin the paint with floetrol, water, or don't thin at all, the pore size affects how the pain self- levels, which is important in the achieving the end result of a smooth surface. These might be fine for touch-up paint jobs. They are approximately equivalent in finish to using a 1/2" nap roller.
