The walking-stick umbrella was designed as a legal and inconspicuous means of self-defence for everyday use. Despite weighing only 700g, the umbrella can deliver very powerful blows. The handle is made of polyamide and the tip is metal. At the same time, this black self-defence club is a normal umbrella featuring an elegant design. Material: canopy: 100% nylon. I used to carry an apple root knob stick but I think it was fairly obvious why I was carrying it, I certainly don't need a stick to walk with. This umbrella is perfect .. you can feel the strength in it and although I hope never to have to use it, I know that if I did it would be every bit as strong as my applewood shillelagh .. and as an added bonus, if it starts to rain, I don't get wet. **Q: Do you know where I can obtain a rubber ferrule for the end that fits?  All the ones I can locate are too large and slip off.**
A: There are two sizes of tips, older 10mm, new tips 11mm - you can use any rubber tips form walking sticks, they have the right diameter and length. As genuine spare parts are these rubber tips mot available. But. if you buy one of these umbrellas from my shop -René Spörke- than give me a sign, i'll do give you one for free, that fit's. I wanted something to carry out with me when the nights draw in when I'm walking my German Shepherd .. with him, I don't really need to worry too much about self-defence as he is a fully trained protection dog .. but I'd rather be safe than sorry. I used to carry an apple root knob stick but I think it was fairly obvious why I was carrying it, I certainly don't need a stick to walk with.
