Review: well worth the money - As a trumpet player, I am very pleased with this product. It arrived only two days after I ordered it and seems to be a high quility trumpet mute. it fits securely in to the trumpet and has cork strips to stop the bell of the trumpet becoming damaged. it quite significantly reduces the amount of noise and gives the trumpet a sharper sound. it, as in the description, responds excellently to high notes and loud notes of different pitches. i personally bought it due to the low price but i have been very pleased that i bought it as it is excellent product at a reasonably low price.

I've found myself using this more for tone than for noise reduction and, in my opinion, that is where it really shines. If you want to keep your volume right down for practicing, maybe get a Shhmute instead, but this is a beast for practice and performance alike!

As a trumpet player, I am very pleased with this product. Very good quality, nice sound, simply the best mute I can find, and at a fairly reasonable price. The silver part (cup) detaches, and leaves a straight mute, or when attached, a cup mute. This is good - two for one. The cork parts are good, and do not leave marks, or anything like that, overall it is a very nice bit of kit, essential for any quality trumpeter! (I play Yamaha 4335G)
