what is the max shelf life of these?

The boxes of BP-WR are marked with a best before date of 5 years from manufacture , however a separate label stuck onto the boxes gives a guaranteed shelf life of a minimum 15 years. Considering the quality of packaging etc I would feel confident that the 15 year guarantee is realistic.

How long is shelf life once the foil package has been opened?

It should last a long time (I would estimate at least 3 months) so long as it's in a cool, dry place. I've had the foil ripped occasionally and I just tapped it up and it was fine. It's when they start to become soft I would throw them, but given the makeup of the ingredients it's unlikely to go off in a short period of time.
